The day started off bright and early, with toast and strawberry rhubarb jam for breakfast. After the gym, 'twas another protein smoothie. This one was sort of a pinkish-purple, since I used a mix of berries. The bag said something like "Frozen Berry Mix". It had raspberries and blackberries and other stuff. It's been in my freezer for months, so everything's sort of iced over and I can't tell what's there. But it all tasted fine.
Hubby made some sort of spirally ricotta-and-peas pasta for lunch.
Hubs liked it, though I found it rather bland. Even after adding pepper, it was still pretty tasteless to me.
For dinner, I picked up a vegan avocado vegetable sandwich, since I was too busy/lazy to prepare my own sandwich.
I am not an avocado person. Typically, I only eat avocado in guacamole form, and then only if it's some really good guac. The good news was, this sandwich had lots of other veggies like tomato (I think it was even some sort of heirloom variety...it looked funky, but in a good way), lettuce, cucumber, onion, and sprouts that hid the avocado taste. The bad news was, this sandwich had too much onion.Onion vegetable sandwich is a more accurate name. It's not intolerably overwhelming, but it's still too much. I ended up picking about half the onion off.
