Day 14 - Super Salsa Day!

So, my morning was off to an interesting start. The weatherman said we would get light snow, turning to rain...

We weren't supposed to worry about any accumulations.

It wasn't going to stick to the roads.

Yeah, it's not a significant accumulation if you're in, say, Nunavut. We get so little snow here that our city only has one snowplow, and has to borrow plows and sanding trucks from the county and state. Since that takes some advance scheduling, obviously we were on our own. Luckily, it stopped snowing shortly after we headed out, and there were only a few icy patches.

Breakfast was an omelet with cheese and salsa. It didn't come out pretty, but it was quite tasty.

Yesterday, Hubby set up some more vegetarian chili in the slow cooker, so it was ready for lunch.

I treated myself to some Cheerwine for a snack.

That's Hubs in the background. I told him to smile. I ended up catching him with a weird look on his face. Oh well. It's his own fault for ignoring what I was doing.

For dinner, Hubby made some salsa out of some tomatoes, avocado, onion, and cilantro. We made baked nachos from the salsa and leftover chili, with a dollop of sour cream.

It doesn't look pretty, but it's tasty! And yes, that's a pic of my lap. We actually do not have a dining table, since we live in such a tiny space. What you see is my dining table.
